We engage in all aspects of real estate transactions and land development including planning, development and condominium law. This work often takes us before administrative tribunals including the Ontario Municipal Board and Environmental Review Board. The municipal group is pleased to include several municipal organizations as clients, some of whom we have served since the creation of the firm. Our corporate department is counsel to several hundred dynamic business enterprises and is responsible for their organizational and transactional needs on an ongoing basis.

The firm is experienced in commercial transactions and acts on behalf of both lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions. In particular, the firm has extensive experience in the establishment and perfection of security over real and personal property by way of all forms of security instruments including debentures. The firm also represents secured lenders and trustees during workouts, bankruptcies and other remedial processes. These engagements bring us before all the various branches of the Ontario courts.

The firm acts for municipal clients and assists with regulatory compliance. We advise clients on matters pertaining to environmental audits and site assessments, regulatory inspections and investigatory actions, environmental management systems and environmental civil liability.

The firm has an extensive practice in the area of administration of estates and estate planning, employment and labour law related to management issues and environmental law as it relates to commercial transactions and municipal issues.

Our litigation department offers a full spectrum of services for our business clients including mortgage and general collection, contract and other commercial disputes. We also assist individuals with negligence matters.
