George’s practice centres on business organizations, tax, business acquisitions and sales, banking, insolvency, commercial real estate transactions, land development and condominium development.
George attended law school at Queen’s University in Kingston, graduating in 1986. He began his legal career in the field of corporate and commercial law with Stikeman, Elliott in Toronto. George has been a partner of the firm since 1991.
George’s practice focuses on business organizations, tax, business acquisitions and sales, banking, insolvency, commercial real estate transactions, land development and condominium development. In 1998 George completed his Masters degree in law at Osgoode Hall, York University, specializing in insolvency matters. He has been involved in various complex municipal corporate re-organizations including reorganizations for Barrie and Innisfil Hydro.
George is a former director of the Gryphon Theatre in Barrie, has been an instructor in real property law at Georgian College and is the Past President of the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club of Barrie. George is a former director of the Association for People with Special Needs and a founding member of its Foundation.
