Andy obtained commerce and law degrees from the University of Toronto and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1985. He subsequently graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993 with a Masters in Business Administration. Andy pursued a career in corporate finance for many years in New York, Boston and Toronto, and relocated to the Barrie area in 2003 as Vice President of a large privately-held company where he was responsible for all legal matters and corporate development initiatives.
Since joining the firm in 2007, Andy has built a diversified corporate commercial law and real estate law practice in Barrie with a particular focus on owner-operated businesses. Andy has assisted a variety of clients with share and asset purchases, franchises, incorporations, shareholder agreements and complex financing transactions.
A member of the Canadian Bar Association and Simcoe County Law Association, Andy is a founding member and director of KidSport Barrie & Simcoe County. He is also actively involved in the Oro Minor Hockey Association where he has served as both a director and coach.
